The Sun & Thirteen Cantons, Soho
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Sun & Thirteen Cantons is a Fuller's pub that has described itself as a 'brasserie' in the past, but that's pushing things a bit - the food's mostly Thai and it looks every bit like a pub - although it is one of their more upmarket efforts. There's a typical range of Fuller's ales, beers and wines on offer, although, it's more limited, thanks to the size of the place, than some other Fuller's places. However, that doesn't put the punters off in the slightest. Most nights you'll find them clustered outside in garrulous groups, mostly media types, quaffing Fuller's upmarket lagers. It's been pretty much like this for a good few years now. There are DJ sets at times and for the rest of the time the piped music is cranked up loud enough, to make it feel pretty much the same. Not really our thing, as you may have guessed by now, but the Sun & Thirteen Cantons seems to suit the people who frequent the area which is probably good a enough reason not to change a thing.
