The Sun Inn, Barnes
FancyaPint?'s review...
Being in affluent Barnes and being an unbranded M&B effort it's not surprising that the Sun Inn definitely veers towards trendy. There is a back garden for the sunny days as well as seating out the front - much is made of its position overlooking Barnes Pond, but it's across the busy Barnes Road, so don't get too excited. Still, inside you'll find well made food (prices not too steep), four real ales, Cask Marque quality, reassuringly, and two Belgian beers on tap. They have board games to keep flatsharers and bored couples busy on Sundays and the atmosphere was generally unrushed on our visit - this is essentially a good place to spend an evening. We've heard numerous bad tales about the attitude and speed of the staff here, but have yet to experience it on our visits here, as we've always encountered polite and swift service.

How to find the The Sun Inn pub
Take the train to Barnes Bridge Station. Come on to the main road (The Terrace) and turn right, then right again on to Barnes High Street, then take a left on to Church Road. The pub is right opposite the pond.
