This Young's pub is Friday night favourite with the Essex commuting crowd. Food is served at lunchtimes, but evenings are reserved for the drinking. The booze on offer is Young's usual, quality merchandise, but you get the impression that this is incidental. This place is shoulder to shoulder with besuited colleagues, celebrating the end of another working week, watching whatever sport's showing on the telly and joining in with the old favourites on the juke box - mostly seventies and eighties stuff, although the Beatles were played so many times we thought the pub had been re-christened The Three My Sweet Lords. Apart from those behind the bar, there very few people not with Y chromosomes and the few females that were in the place were also suited and booted. When "Hi Ho Silver Lining" started we felt it was time we took our leave of the place.
