With such a rustic name you may expect a preserved 18th Century inn. Out of luck, for this is - bluntly - a pub in a shopping centre. Handy enough if you need to meet someone at Hammersmith tube, and the place does it's best (Greene King ales, live music at the weekend) but this is still a rather soul sapping place and to be honest, it's not changed noticeably in years. An outside terrace offers a little escape, but if you sit inside you'll have the view of a hairdressers and a Tesco Metro.
