The Warwick Pimlico, Victoria
FancyaPint?'s review...
Since eschewing the silly name of Hedgehog & Pheasant a few years ago, the Warwick became a vaguely upmarket Greene King pub with loungey furnishings. For some reason that incarnation only lasted a couple of years and now it has been refurbished and reopened again. To be honest, we're not sure why. This is still a Greene King attempt at the upmarket look, but has now become a little more formal - stripped floors, large wooden tables and the like. It still caters for the after work crowd and vies with the Queens next door for exactly the same demographic. It's all very safe and comfortable, but it hardly a revelation. The usual Greene King ales on tap are complimented by gastroesque meals. Perfectly fine at what it does and who it does it for, we personally prefer some of the more interesting drinking establishments nearby.
