It's not hard to find this pub - it's prominently situated on a corner opposite Streatham Common and looks vaguely familiar. Okay, yes, it's a bank conversion. But don't hold that against it - it's got a lot going for it: friendly staff, a decent and reasonably-priced wine menu, fab-looking thin-crust pizzas cooked on the premises and a large beer garden to take advantage of the British summer, however fleeting that may be. We liked it on our last visit, and it got better as it started to fill up with locals. It's also another pub that's working hard to carve a niche in the local community, with regular food and drink deals and regular cocktail specials. Only downside on our visit was the lack of a real ale choice on the pumps - it was mostly European lagers and two kinds of Guinness. Never mind, it's still a decent enough place to go and if you're in the area, give it a try.
