The Wheatsheaf, Stoke Newington
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Wheatsheaf is a no-nonsense, unthemed pub with a largely Irish clientele. The selection of beer is unremarkable, but the Guinness isn't bad and there's a good selection of whiskey. The staff are very friendly. Behind the bar, next to some ornamental leprechauns, there's a notice that gives the pub tariff for telling callers you've just left, right up to claiming they've never heard of you. Something tells us that it may be less of a joke than it first appears.
