The White Hart, Orpington
Orpington is certainly not the prime destination for the avid drinker and the fact that several pubs in the High Street have closed down only reinforces this fact. However, if you find yourself in these parts, The White Hart is actually a reasonably safe bet. It's quiet, clean and comfortable although modern and characterless. It is part of the 'Q' chain, who tend to market themselves through entertainment facilities - most of them having games machines, plasma screens, juke box and at least one pool table, as does this one. The pub does not score highly on the range of drinks on offer - in fact they are particularly poor, but at least the food is quite good value for money. If "more of a safe bet here than anywhere else" is any sort of recommendation, consider The White Hart recommended.
