This achingly trendy place is typical of the new school of Brixton, club-like pubs. You probably know the drill by know: lots of DJs, lager not bitter, bouncers and bright young things. Strange then that, in many ways, it has many of the faults of the run down old locals' gaffes such places have superseded. There's the fact that you can be lost among the shades in the middle of an afternoon, the lack of decent drinks and the fact that, if your face doesn't really fit, you'll soon pick up on the "shouldn't you be somewhere else?" vibes. Choice of food looks better, though.

Lacks any sort of character to set it apart from the droves of pubs that are exactly the same. In side you have no real sense of where you are, you could just as easily be in a themed pub in germany or france or holland.

But I suppose it's the way they like it.
