The William Morris, Hammersmith
FancyaPint?'s review...
Not at all the rustic pub conjured up by its name, this is an old Wetherspoon pub that's been re-branded as one of their Lloyds No.1 Bars. Seems this has been achieved by the creative masterstroke of dimming the lights. Usual Wetherspoon formula applied within, though like a growing number of their pubs they've started to show live football. So much for the old Wetherspoon unique selling point of no TVs and no music. There can a bit more life to this one than your regular Wetherspoon: often a bit too much. If you like your pubs with an underlying tension and a brutish air, give it a look of a weekend. Otherwise try elsewhere.

Catastrophic experience! Rude and unprofessional door staff. We were told we were not welcome after pointing out that you need to be polite to customers. Unhelpful shift leader and manager didn't even want to hear our version! Very dissapointing. And we're thirty something teachers and other professionals, not a bunch of kids!!!!
If you expect class and manners, DO NOT GO TO WILLIAM MORRIS (the artist wouldn't be happy, now would he?)
