The Windmill Tavern, Waterloo
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Windmill Tavern is a pretty standard sort of pub in these parts - a lively, popular spot on a busy strip of road that abounds in pubs, restaurants and bars. A mid-sized, two-roomed pub, the Windmill offers a few decent selection of ales on the hand pumps, complemented by a typical range of beers, wines and spirits. The Old Vic is pretty close by and pre/post theatre (and interval) times will usually see a brief increase in the crowds, but they're professionally handled by the fast and efficient bar staff. The decor is clean, modern and no-nonsense with a thespian theme - the walls are covered with a large number of (often signed) images of theatrical luminaries. There's often sport on the TVs (usually footy) and big matches can attract an even larger crowd. The Windmill Tavern is one of those pubs that offers a bit of something for everyone and manages to do this pretty successfully.

This would be a much nicer pub if the landlady wasn't so rude. Maybe it's time she retired if she can't treat customers with common courtesy. I've seen her be rude to numerous people, and am amazed no one ever complains. She is quite scary though.
