This is now such a well established pub that we've almost forgotten what it was like before a refit a few years ago, though in part that could be due to a few knocks on the head and the ageing process. There's nothing radical about the decor, but it's a comfortable, large space with a mix of seating around the central bar, with the back area probably providing the most relaxed atmosphere. There is a good selection of ale and lager and we've usually found the service to be pretty efficient even when packed out for a game. It's a decent stop-off at any time, whether just after a quick pint or two, a pre/post stop-off for the Emirates, or in search of the regular lineup of entertainment. There is usually live music several times a week, with poker nights and movie nights among other offerings. A multitude of TV's and a large projector screen on which to watch live sport provides another reason to drop by. Also, being just two minutes from Finsbury Park station it is pretty easy to find, especially if you take the correct exit from the tube onto Wells Terrace.
