Three Horseshoes, Totteridge & Whetstone
FancyaPint?'s review...
... or to give it its full title: "Three Horseshoes at Whetstone", which is presumably to make it explicitly clear to anyone who had wandered into zone four by mistake. Anyway, this cute old wood panelled pub - one of the better in the area - has been given a makeover. Most of the wood panelling is still there, but the atmosphere ended up in the skip with the old furniture and the lovely wooden bar dividers. Its been 'opened up' and extended, but the bar area is jarringly modern and there are 400% too many TV screens. We made the mistake of going during a football match and found precious little room to stand (let alone sit), so we'll go back again at a quieter time. Suffice to say, however, we're not entirely convinced by the Three Horseshoe's new look.
