Well, they've got some chandeliers in, had a general tidy up and got shot of the (disturbing) Charlie Chaplin mannequin - even though the Charlie doll has been despatched to a vaudevillian props rest home, the booth at the back still bares his name. Decent beer on the taps, more upmarket (and pricier) food, friendly and efficient staff combined with a cross-section of local workers and tourists makes it a reasonable place for a pint and a bite to eat. The pub manages to balance drinking and eating pretty well, which is a neat trick given the better margins on food than drink these days. Not a bad effort all round and it sounds like a good place to go for Sunday lunch - which we'll have to try.

the three stags is a great place for some nice lunch (the quality of the food is superb!) or dinner after a long day of sightseeing in london(reading the daily menue on your board was mouthwatering every time...)!tourists like me and my husband felt like coming "home". the atmosphere is great, and we met lots of nice locals. thanks a lot to the friendly and helpful owners and stuff, who gave us good tips for sightseeing and clubbing in london.

we will come back!

Three Stags is a fabulous gastropub. The new owners made a world of difference to the place. Brand new decor, amazing menu changed on daily basis, great music. It caters for different tastes and clientele - everyone feels welcome and looked after there. Me and my frineds will be coming back.
