Tonicos (ex-The Grove), Battersea
FancyaPint?'s review...
This one feels like it's trying too hard to cover all the bases - trying to be all things to all people. It's got a restaurant, a cafe and a bar and activities range from board games to karaoke to singles and student nights, to DJ sets on a Saturday with live music sprinkled in for good measure. From what we've heard and on the evidence of our last visit, this isn't an unwelcome change, but this is hardly the traditional pub it used to be; now far more focused on cocktails and less on beer, there was, as you'd expect a dearth of real ale on the taps. And sadly, it suffers from a multiple personality disorder in our opinion - not really our cup of tea.
