The designers have been working hard on the Trafalgar - again. Now the exterior is violent purple but as far as we can tell, the interior's not changed much - it's still a mishmash of sofas and chairs, as if someone's made a collage out of back issues of Wallpaper. Oddly enough, it somehow works. Once you get it out of your head you're trapped in some kind of lounge furnishings version of 'The Crystal Maze', you can relax and enjoy some decent food and drink. There's excellent beer on the taps, ranging from real ale and a selection of continental and international beers, and the eager staff help add a friendly air to the place. We've commented on the prices in here before, but nowadays they're merely inline with the rest of London now. The Trafalgar's next door to the Chelsea Cinema, so don't be surprised to overhear earnest discussions of the latest art house films close to chucking-out time.
