Two Chairmen, Walford
The only downside was the loud (and tuneless) music, which got increasingly deafening as the evening progressed. Totally out of keeping with every other feature of this fine pub, whose distinguishing characteristic should be as a venue for a "quiet" pint.
39 Dartmouth Street, Whitehall, London, SW1H 9BP
From St. James: take the Broadway exit into Petty France, bear right into Tothill Street, then take the second left into Dartmouth Street. It is a 100 yards up on the right. From Westminster: turn right out of the tube and proceed across Parliament Street at the lights. Carry on through Parliament Square into Great George Street and Storey's Gate is the next left. Turn left and then immediately right into Old Queen Street. Follow the road around and the pub is on the left side of the bend.
