A jolly decent local tucked away in a back street just a short distance from Notting Hill Gate. The Uxbridge sports a good range of good beers - Tribute was well kept on the last visit with Harveys Best and Pride also on offer - and, despite its posh address, an unostentatious and welcoming atmosphere. It's a traditional local through-and-through and, with the rise of the gastropub, there aren't many of those around nowadays. Being on the southern side of Notting Hill Gate it's well away from the hordes of tourists and Quixotic bargain-hunters aiming for Portobello Road. It seems to us that there are quite a few little gems in these parts, away from the main drags and largely neglected by the tourists - true local watering-holes. Interesting.

Great proper pub. No fancy food, just decent beers for a friendly local crowd. My type of place.
