In the past, there was surely only one reason anyone would come to this place and that was to get a drink after the pubs chuck out. A temple to crassitude, almost everything about this place lacks any sensibility - the booze on offer, the awful music on the crashy PA, the sticky floor and the clientele trying way too hard to have fun. We eventually left with ears ringing from the godawful PA and feeling far from refreshed. Now a few more nearby pubs have extended licences, the grounds for visiting here have become redundant.

Thankfully, now closed.

Hi, 'Walkabout' was named The Three Wheatsheaves' my Dad's Dad was the landlord in 1937ish, apparently there was one bar for the police and one bar for the real crooks, this place has so much history. As well as this pub he was also the proprietor of a fish and chip shop chain and ran the 'Imperial' bus company. I think there were many lock ins in those days. Islington wasn't a sought after place to live back then. :)
