Whistle and Flute, Putney
FancyaPint?'s review...
We'd hardly call this the best pub in Putney, but it's pleasant enough. Decent beer on the pumps - all Fuller's and Gales (the Seafarers was very nice when we were in last - friendly bar staff and unoffensive locals. While it's not one of their Ale and Pie houses, they still offer a 'Pie of the Day', which is always a plus in our books, if not for our waistlines. It's got open fires for cold weather and the front of the pub seems to open completely in warm weather - if you can stand the hydrocarbon overload from the traffic immediately outside. A good place to meet, as it's easy to find, maybe on the way to somewhere else.
