White Hart, Lancaster Gate

Paddington isn't overrun with great pubs, and while this one isn't fantastic, it's still pretty decent. Handily tucked away down a mews (so avoiding backpacks of tourists), on offer is agreeable service, a limited range of beers and very cheap food. But what makes the pub are it's three pool tables, proving that there are bars you can play in that aren't seedy dives nor style derived hangouts.
Now boarded up.

It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
31 Brook Mews North, Lancaster Gate, London, W2 3BW
Exit tube, and head away from the station, passing the White Hart pub. After a few minutes, turn left down Brook Mews North. The pub is at the end of the mews.
