Wickham Arms, Brockley
FancyaPint?'s review...
What with every gastropub conversion, it's reassuring to know that there's still room for traditional pubs like the Wickham Arms. Here's a place you feel, that won't be recreating itself as a 'pub and dining room' any time soon. It's the sort of pub that's all too rare in Central London - and increasingly rare in the suburbs too. You won't find a range of choice real ales nor is the pub an architectural gem; but it's well-kept, comfy and a place we immediately felt comfortable in. The old-style jukebox (and the sounds emanating from within) also added to its charm. A pool table's in the back room, and if you need any further entertainment, there's karaoke nights every so often.
