After a temporary hiatus, the William IV is open once again. The washed out-out all-white look of the place - a stark contrast to the dark and moody pubs we've become used to nowadays - still in evidence. Truth be told, not much appears to be different from how the pub was pre-closure, although we're not sure if that also applies to the food and the quiz of the previous incarnation. It's still rather quiet of an evening, but at least the beer was back on (the hand pumps were dry last time we were in) and a reasonable pint it is too. The service was excellent - speedy, friendly and pints topped up without being prompted. It's good to see a pub open again, but if the nights are as quiet in the William IV as they were when we were last in, it could still be a rocky road.

Very pleasant indeed. Visited by accident on a Wednesday evening on my way to the Wenlock. A little quiet but we received a very warm welcome. Good choice of beers and super service. Will visit again.
