The Young Prince is a pleasant little oddity a few minutes walk from Roman Road market. Seemingly sharing space with a Bathroom centre next door, this is a traditional style local's pub. Wood panelling and patterned carpets are the decoration and the back sports a small DJ booth and dart board complete with a working 1970s electronic dart scoring machine. Service is friendly and the punters amiable enough but the crowning glory is the lovely back garden, bordered in flowers which is a perfect sun trap. The one negative though is the quality of the beer - the amount of people sticking to bottles should've been a clue, but our Guinness, served in a dirty glass was certainly not left to settle for 119.5 seconds and didn't taste great either. So nearly a three, even if we like it here until the beer improves a two it has to remain.
