The Bulls Head, Manchester
FancyaPint?'s review...
A decent enough pub opposite Manchester's Piccadilly Station, which opens it up to the usual complaints, of course - lots of transient customers staying for one and pissing off... uh, like we did. It does have regulars - there's a quiz every Tuesday - and a vague sense that it's not just a train station bar. It's got a few guest beers from the region on tap (Jenner's Cumberland Ale and Smiles, last time we were in). The food looks good - any pub that puts corned beef hash on the menu has to have something going for it! We liked it for a quiet pint in the afternoon before catching our train admittedly, but the bar man was friendly enough and didn't seem to mind our quick drinking up. If you're travelling from Manchester Piccadilly, it's a lot better than the station bar. Give it a go.
