A friendly and traditional pub set in the lovely village of Simister, North Manchester. Good range of Lee's ales as well as the normal lagers and ciders etc. This pub's star attraction though is the excellent food. We have eaten here several times now and it's never disappointed. Home cooked, top quality and very reasonably priced. The beer garden looks out over fields to a windfarm in the distance, ideal on a (admittedly rare in Manchester) sunny day. A little bit of the countryside hiding out in the busy city. A great pub that should not be missed.

Just off the junction of the M66 and M62, the 135 bus stops in Prestwich on bury old road near Armstrongs chippy. The Same yet is about a 15 mintute walk up Heywood road, at the top end of Simister village.
