While it was Tracy Emin's favourite pubs when she lived in Margate, we found an odd and rough pub, with a lot of potential. Happy to report it has been taken over and improvements made. Next time we're in Margate, we'll go and have a look.

We have spent 3 weeks cleaning and some redecoration to make the experiance of visiting more pleasurable.
Come and visit either the traditional saloon bar with an exquisit engraved back bar, or the newly painted public bar in purple and cream.
The pipes are clean and the bear good.

I take over as landlord of the rose in April this year (2010)
We will close for a short time to decorate then reopen for the May bank holiday weekend.
The house will be clean and welcoming I look forward to greeting any new customers and my teams’ service will not disappoint.
