Whilst other pubs in the market square might appear a little more brash, the Black Bull modestly goes about its business offering sustenance and accommodation to locals and visitors alike. The down-to-earth atmosphere is what you'd expect of a no-nonsense Yorkshire pub - the beer is excellent (well it doesn't have far to travel), the atmosphere friendly and there's a pool room to boot. It's no surprise this pub's popular with the racing fraternity in these parts - it's a hit with us too.
