A first for Fancyapint?, the Sun & Moon is actually one of the handful of pubs sited inside the Butlin's camp at Minehead. Technically a bona fide pub, it's deserving of inclusion. Its a fairly standard faux-traditional place - quite dark inside, with swirly carpets and lots of wood, along with a conservatory style section, a large beer garden and - not unsurprisingly - a kiddies play area. The clientele, as one might expect, is predominantly families coming for their holidays (as is the case for many of Minehead's pubs), but Butlins also host a fare few adults-only weekends too. Among the lagers was a well-kept local ale (Exmoor Gold) and for food was an extensive menu of cheapish corporate fodder which looked the part but left us wanting. Its OK, but there's more to Minehead than this.

How to find the Sun & Moon pub

Minehead has no train station, barring the seasonal heritage route (thanks Mr Beeching), so you can either drive here or catch a bus from Taunton. The Domes of Butlin's are easy to spot.
