The Crown is a fairly jovial and lively traditional pub in the pretty village of Newgate Street. As it vies with the only other pub in the village - the Coach and Horses - this one seems to be just slightly ahead in the popularity stakes. The decor isn't exactly fantastic but the small garden to the side is pretty enough and there was a couple of standard ales to keep us happy. Not a groundbreaking pub, but a decent and competent one.
