Really good bar and one of the first in this part of town. On three floors and each with a distinct flavour (middle floor is the Bourbon bar) there is something for everyone - including an ingenious little smoking area. Staff range from excellent to superb and are helpful and knowledgeable in equal measure.
Eclectic drinks range in both draught and packaged including such goodies as Ilkeley IPA (on Keg) through to fruit and niche bottled beers. Only a couple of standards like Guinness and San Miguel. Food is large of portion and whilst not cheap is good value.
Whilst there is still a very cool crowd in here they are not in any way exclusive and young hipsters like us fitted in well.
I suspect that the area is no longer edgy enough for the truly cutting edge crowd but this is a lively area and Trof is without doubt the best of the bunch in our opinion.
