Norwegian Blue is the sort of bar that describes itself as happening, cool, thriving, cutting edge and uses other words that make you want to give up on humanity. Unfortunately the reality doesn't exactly dispel this initial reaction as despite having a few gimmicks like a multicoloured waterfall effect behind one bar (erm, why?) and 27 different brands of vodka (no, seriously, why?) this is your basic glitz bar that can be found a thousand times over across the planet. While it is big on loud music and lots and lots of spirits, its rather low on character indeed don't feel bad if you think you've stumbled into a particularly annoying IKEA outlet. The dregs of the vodka bottle save it from getting a fat zero: finding a seat in its big two floored interior is not too much of a problem, nice views of the river are allowed by its balcony section and the sofas can be appealing when the music is down low at the weekends. Don't be deceived though, it may be cutting edge, but its also a bit naff.
