A homely haven that is a strong challenger for the competitive title of best pub in Norwich. Expertly managed by a local family, the Ribs has a comfortable, warm and modern interior with oldie style wall adornments and thick padded chairs. A small balcony area perched on the banks of the Wensum allows a picturesque view of the water that can also be enjoyed in the downstairs restaurant. But where the Ribs really excels is in its excellent ale selection that has chalked up 5,000 different tipples in the past 21 years a thoroughly believable claim when one discovers at least ten different choices on offer at any one visit (and of course, the standard lagers and bitters). Combined with a friendly vibe, nice staff, good food and reasonable prices you have the right mix for a near flawless pub.

A Traditional friendly pub on the bank on the river Wensum. Family owned & run with well trained chatty staff.Good home cooked food served lunchtimes only and until 5pm Saturdays & Sundays. Lovely river views from inside or on the small seated jetty outside. Watch the swans & ducks, read the papers and watch the world go by.

Regular Beers include. Woodfordes Wherry & Ribcracker. Fullers London Pride, Wells Eagle IPA, Oakham JHB, Adnams Bitter & Explorer, Peroni, Budweiser, Elgoods Black Dog,Fosters, Kronerbourg, Amstel, Heineken, Bulmers, Guinness and 3 guest beers weekly including a Norfolk Cider. Large range of bottled beers.

We are renowned for our Sunday Roast Lunches,  homemade Scotch eggs, homemade Burgers and Beef & Ale stew. Regular free nibbles on the bar.
