This pub used to be nicknamed the Mucky Duck, and while we can't vouch for the state of its predecessor, the current incarnation doesn't really warrant the moniker. It's located on the edge of Ockham Common, and surrounded by farmland and feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, even though the A3 and M25 junction is only a few minutes away. When we were there last, on a nice Sunday afternoon, a number of the patrons looked like they had been out for a ramble - though we noticed a number of what looked like students amongst the patrons. It's family friendly, which is hardly surprising when you see the size of the garden, and it's a fine venue for Sunday lunch. Decent beer on the taps, including some local choices, combined with reasonably priced food and friendly staff make it a good choice, too. And if you want somewhere to take your dog for a walk and enjoy a nice meal in the sunshine, then you could do a lot worse than this one.
