The Old Vic, Preston
FancyaPint?'s review...
Well, given it's proximity to the station, this one is just that, a pub by a station. It's not terrible, as they do try with a reasonable beer selection on the five hand pumps and the staff are pleasant enough. It's got lots of tellys and music, and apparently gets packed with students of an evening. It's not going to suffer for punters and it does what the majority of them need it to do, including a beer garden out the back. The signs everywhere saying the premises has CCTV are not a good sign, however, so they've obviously had some trouble in the past. Not great, but not one we'll go out of our way for.
