The Queen's Head is a popular gay pub just off the King's Road in a fairly ordinary Victorian shell. It's friendly and well-served by the bar staff with a decent selection of beer on the pumps. Local workers tend to congregate in here at lunchtimes, taking advantage of the good food deals on offer and they don't seem to mind the TVs showing videos rather than sport (Take That appeared to feature prominently when we were in last). There are lots of activities on ranging from the weekly quiz to karaoke to "Strictly Bingo with Jaqui D" on the first Sunday of the month. While this may not be everyone's cup of tea, we've always found it welcoming and friendly. And it's location that little bit further off the main drag - pun intended - means it can be a little quieter, too.
