A new manager took over the reins in November 2010. He is a Northerner(but don't hold that against him!). Since then the beer has been of excellent quality. London Pride is a permanent fixture with 2 others changing on a regular basis and mainly from local breweries. It's well worth popping in for a beer or two. The new guy is focussed on the pub being a pub that serves food NOT a restaurant with a bar. The Sunday lunch is excellent value for money at £6.95 and the midweek menu is also of good value with good traditional fayre at reasonable prices.
