Driving: From J17 on M25, take Heronsgate (Long Lane) exit from roundabout and you will find us on the right less than a mile up the lane. Walking from Chorleywood Station, from main exit, turn left and follow the road under the railway. Continue uphill (Shire Lane) and follow the road into Heronsgate Road. Continue along the road, passing Stag lane on the left. The pub will be on your left, just downhill past the small reservoir.

Overview
Often described as 'a proper' pub, this is a traditional village pub with a traditional feel to it, with a strong focus on real ales from British micro-breweries.
Most customers are friendly, local regulars and visitors who travel to us for the beer range.
We are a convenient stopping point for commuters, being located less than a mile from J17 of the M25, up Long Lane.
Please note we do not serve meals or allow under 14s in the pub, although families are very welcome to use The Pavilion and garden areas.
Detailed Description
The bar usually features 6 real ales, with 2 regulars and 4 changing beers. Kaltenberg Hell is our regular lager, and we stock a range of real ciders and perries.
Spirits and a wide range of soft drinks are always available, as are teas and coffee.
Bar snacks are on sale all day, typically pork pies, Cornish pasties (usually cooked to order), pots of home - cooked nuts, and other seasonal snacks such as olives, etc. Please ask at the bar. We can cater for groups by prior arrangement with baguettes or buffets.
Regular events include beer festivals, quiz nights, book club, film club, charity events, etc.
