The Queens Head is a traditional Inn built in 1780 and origilally called The Golden Fleece. The name was changed during the Victorian era to honour Queen Victoria. A comfortable bar on one side as you enter and the restaurant on the other with the public toilets at the rear and a large car park and patio garden.
We have 7 en-suite bedrooms on the upper floors with a breakfast room and lounge on the first floor for residents. A Family run pub in a lovely village in the heart of Northumberland.
We serve a high standard of pub food, all the classics, homemade pies, fish and chips etc, also a more interesting mix of english and european dishes are available all day with game a speciality in season. We have four real ales on and stock a good selection of wines and malts. Friday nights we like to experiment with cocktails and have some very clever mixes going on.
Wednesdays is Quiz night which starts at 8-30 and is fiendish.....
The 3rd Thursday of every month our Restaurant is given over to Rothbury Roots, live music of a very high calibre and a very popular venue.
