Overview

The Queen's Head is a traditional tavern, offering fine real ales and ciders, craft-brewed British and foreign lagers and fine food all cooked on then premises.

We also offer B&B accomodation and a variety of events, including live music, Open Mics, craft fairs, and many more. Booked functions a speciality.

Detailed Description

We serve the Freedom range of organic lagers and stouts as our house brand, alongside Staropramen (when it's available to me!) and a wide range of imported beers in bottles, including fruit and non-alcoholic beers. Our ales are sourced in part through Dark Star and in part directly from the large number of fine local brewers in East Sussex, including Rother Valley, Old Dairy, F.I.L.O. and many others. Ciders from Biddendens, Battle and guests from around the country complement bottle ciders from Rekorderlig and Westons.

Alongide a list of regular menu items including Chilli con Carne, Southern Fried Chicken, Ale-Battered Cod & Chips and a selection of home-made pies, we offer a weekly hand-crafted specials menu all cooked on the premises. Main meals start from £5 and specials from £6.50.

We are currently able to let three rooms, Elizabeth (4-poster king) @ £85 per night, Mathilda (standard double) and Boudicca (tri single) @ £70 per night. Prices include full English breakfast.
