The Boot is an attractive looking pub in the picturesque village of Sarratt. It is however a pub of two halves. To your right is the cosiest section of the pub; you can see where it used to be a separate bar in days gone by. A huge real log fire burns away and you can choose one of the four ales to keep yourself happy. Most of the rest of the pub, however, is a little less enthralling. Green carpet, pastel walls and bog standard decor make parts of the interior look like a travel tavern bar. Still, the food looked good and the locals were friendly enough. We also enjoyed an unseasonably warm day to practice our swingball talents in the massive beer garden. Overall, perhaps this isn't the untouched gem we'd hoped it was from looking at the exterior, it was still a good enough for us to pop in again next time we're in the area.

Under new management for the last 2 years this pub is very friendly serving truly excellent food. The restaurant has been extended and a brand new, much larger kitchen has had to be added. Booking is strongly advised to avoid disappoiuntment. The staff are very welcoming.
