Duke of York, Sayers Common
FancyaPint?'s review...
Located on the old London Road, this large pub is fairly central in the little village of Sayers Common (the village is apparently named after a local hero). And, judging by the locals who were in when we were last in, it's central to the community to. Our lunchtime visit marked it out as a decent-enough pub, with regular guest beers - although local brewer Harvey's seems a firm favourite - and good food on offer. The sandwiches are great value, with the BLT comprised of thick slices of back bacon, not that thinly sliced American stuff. Mmmm. Anyway, as we were only able to make a flying lunchtime visit, we'll be trying this one again soon.
