Crown Inn Hotel, Settle
The Crown Inn Hotel is situated in the Ribble Valley, right on the riverbank, at the foot of Pen-y-ghent and is one of few hotels in the Yorkshire Dales National Park which actually stand on The Pennine Way. We are located between the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside.
The Crown is surrounded by the finest walking and mountain biking country in England, this popular, hotel has everything a tired traveller needs; friendly hosts, traditional food / drink, and comfortable beds.
The Crown Inn Hotel is on The Pennine Way, just a few miles from where the A65 passes through Settle, and only a four-minute walk from Horton-in-Ribblesdale railway station on the Leeds, Settle to Carlisle railway line.
During spring, summer, and autumn The Crown comes alive, as groups of travellers visit us for drinks, food and shelter. There is a large beer garden with an unrestricted view of Pen-y-ghent at the rear. This rural inn is popular with those attempting the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. (3 within 12 hours)
During winter the bar is particularly cosy, as our real log fire gives off a warm welcoming glow.
The limited number of bedrooms in Horton-in-Ribblesdale are in demand most weekends, and we advise you to book well in advance. Our regulars tend to book their next visit upon departure. One of our ground floor bedrooms has been adapted for disabled guests and has wheelchair access.
The Crown Inn’s lounge bar has award-winning cask ales such as Black Sheep, Old Peculiar and guest beers.
We have been awarded the important Cask-Marque.
