Beautiful thatched pub in the heart of the old village of Shanklin. Serving a wide variety of food all day every day- Is how i would describe this pub, but a different story when going inside.
More like a restaurant in a pub shell with as many tables as possible crammed into whatever space is available.
As for the menu it was a very small choice not like the other pubs we had eating at whist on the island. The food that was brought out was different to what the description said on the menu and other dinners where complaining of the same issue the excuse was it’s a new menu and the chef doesn’t understand it yet.
As for drinks, sign outside says serves real ale, only ale on tap was Green King IPA. Not a large choice of drinks at all.
