The Coningham Arms, Shepherd's Bush
FancyaPint?'s review...
This is one of the many pubs in Hammersmith catering for the Irish community and it's pretty much what you might expect. Some ould wrecks at the bar, a sniff of the community centre about the place, plenty of Irish booze and pictures of Armagh's Sam Maguire-winning side. There did seem to be a Northern twang to many of the accents at the bar, so if you want a taste of Portadown in London, this might be yer man. There's plenty of room for dancing or fighting here, but the feature that caught our eye was the Tardis-like toilets. People kept walking in to the apparently tiny gents and then vanishing. Most odd. Perhaps we'd had too much to drink by this point.
