The Goat, St. Albans
FancyaPint?'s review...
Situated in the pub-laden environment of Sopwell Lane, the Goat is one of many boozers vying for attention in the area. On our recent visit we didn't have any trouble finding a spare table, though for the quiz later and weekend evenings it is reportedly a different matter. The former coaching inn has a friendly atmosphere and seems to have plenty of nooks and crannies if you're looking for a secluded spot, while a lucky few can lounge on the sofas. Bar billiards and a large choice of board games are available for mental stimulation, or if a pint and a natter is the only requirement you'll usually find three ales in addition to the fizzy options.
