Bell Inn, St. Olaves
FancyaPint?'s review...
A fine early 16th century inn that once served a ferry over the River Waveney (now replaced by a bridge) and that claims to be the oldest Broadlands pub, the Bell is a reasonable example of how a fairly large pub in these parts should be run. Although some aspects of how the pub presents itself are fairly generic of country boozers in the south in general, modernization has not stripped the pub entirely of its own character, It caters to locals of all ages and passing tourists (with moorings nearby). In addition to several rooms indoors, characterised by low roofs and oak beams, and a restaurant area, there's a great beer garden outdoors, overlooking the river. Some good beers, friendly service. All fine stuff.

How to find the Bell Inn pub
This is relatively - we do mean relatively - easy to access, compared with many pubs on the broads. You could walk there from Haddiscoe station on the Norwich/Great Yarmouth-Ipswich line, or failing that, the pub is located on the main Great Yarmouth-Beccles road, the A143.
