Top notch real ale pub in the area. Food is home cooked and always excellent. You can also stay overnight. As the sign outside states, if you want Sky TV and pool tables follow the direction of the arrow on the sign. There were 6 real ales on at my last visit including Tribute, Doombar, Black Sheep, all of which are regulars, and as a guest ale St. Peter's Ruby Red. Never had a bad pint here. Staff are always very friendly and helpful and the mixed grill will satisfy even the hungriest customer. A huge meal with all components freshly cooked.

Any negatives? it is next to the main London - North West railway line so trains go by at high speed very regularly. A bit annoying if you are in the garden or indeed the main room of the pub.

No question, the best Real Ale pub in Stafford and a must if you are visiting the area.
