The Pullman

The Pullman has been demolished to make way for the DLR extension to Woolwich Arsenal. Never mind.

Royal Standard

A run-down, shabby pub unworthy of your custom. On our visit, the clientele consisted of shouting locals and kids playing pool. There are no real ales behind the bar, though the service was polite and friendly. Must do better.

Henley Arms

Directly opposite the Silverlink railway line, underneath the new DLR extension and in front of some dismal tower blocks, the Henley Arms has not been geographically blessed. On our visit, constant drilling didn't help the...

O'Flynn's (aka The Bull Tavern)

Listed as both O'Flynn's and the Bull Tavern (its original name) on the pub sign, this place has relaunched as an Irish pub. Situated close to Woolwich Arsenal station, and opposite a busy bus stop, it doesn't look too...

Royal Oak

Despite having half a handsome old Truman's tiled exterior (courtesy of the Luftwaffe), the Royal Oak is a rather sparse affair. The walls are bare and net curtains prevent anyone seeing in or out of the pub. A lighter note,...

Cundy's

There's a lot going on in the area, but not at this pub. It's now derelict.

Lord Clyde

Located in a steep, small valley between Plumstead and Woolwich Common, the Lord Clyde is a place for local residents who aren't fussed (or can't be bothered) about walking up the hill to better pubs in Plumstead. It's quite...

Derelict! Didn't take much work, in our opinion, the old clientele seemed to have done a lot of the work.

The Antigallican

Friendly enough Victorian pub, despite the name. Built in 1890, apparently, it's only a stone's throw from Charlton Athletic's Valley ground and as such, it's a popular place for 'away' supporters to congregate before a match;...

Melbourne Arms

The Melbourne Arms, situated midway between Woolwich and Plumstead, is quite a reasonable pub. On our visit, a friendly bunch of locals sat at the bar swapping banter and a few jokes. There is no real ale available, just the...
