The Spread Eagle, Camden
FancyaPint?'s review...
This is a very normal boozer for this area - not themed, not stripped out, not run down and, as a result, it can feel slightly out of place here in Camden. A decent pub, the premises are well looked after and up to Young's usual high standards - as are also the food and the drink - and the last refit has smartened things up a tad, though the changes aren't too wholesale and the pub still retains a great deal of its original character. There're some comfy looking corners to hide away in or outdoor seating for when the sun comes out. Possibly the most un-Camden of all the pubs in NW1, the Spread Eagle is a safe bet for a couple of drinks. And best of all, they do fish finger sandwiches with tartar sauce!
